We are including all the period tools from the fender mounted tool box on the drivers side as well as a quantity of extra original & NOS parts acquired over the years. Also, one of the glass jewelled caps/tips on the fender running lights (left front fender) is missing - owner has not had a chance to try to track that piece down. There are some other small scratches near the bottom lip of the rear passenger side fender. It should be noted that these problem areas have no gotten worse in the current owner's duration of ownership which is approximately 4 years. There is some minor bubbling or deterioration in the paint and metal on the passenger side only at the bottom of the body in the area of what we would call the "rear cab corner" about a 3" high by 6" long area - along with some similar but much smaller areas along the bottom of the body from under the passenger door to up near the firewall area in what we would call the "rocker panel area". Current owner also installed disk brakes so the car would be able to handle hills better - he used the original bolt holes so there was no extra drilling required. This truck is equipped with an electric starter which makes start up a one man operation and much easier. It comes with an original Stewart Warner hand operated "Ahhooga" horn mounted to the drivers door and has the factory equipment electric horn with the button located on the steering column. The radiator cap is an original "Moto Meter" temperature gauge type cap and works well.
This truck has had an after market "flat tube" radiator core installed in it as this allows it to run much cooler than the old original "round tube" core that came with it originally. One other unique feature on this truck is the glass oiler reservoirs mounted at the top of each king pin for more efficient lubrication of the front steering components. The truck originally came from northern Minnesota before restoration, which is why it has been outfitted with the front fender mounted running lights which was a requirement in that state back at the time the truck was still used there.
This Model T Pickup was restored completely by a gentleman in the Chicago area about 20 years ago. Owner uses it sparingly primarily for special car shows and parades - it is always garaged. The truck is in very good running condition with no known mechanical issues. All other pickups were conversions that were assembled after they left the factory. We are proud to offer here this Authentic and Historic blue & black 1926 Model T Ford Roadster Pickup Truck, which is a Ford factory-built pickup only offered by Ford in 1926 & 27.
